The 3rd Libya Maritime and Naval Exhibition – LIMEX 2010 will be taking p-lace from 11 to 14 October 2010 at the Tripoli Sea Port, Tripoli – Libya.

LIMEX 2010 is supported by the General People’s Committee (Ministry) for Transport and Communication, the Libyan Maritime Authority, the North African Maritime Union, the Libyan Maritime Academy and the Libyan Safety Authority.


Event’s Focus
Libya Maritime and Naval Exhibition - LIMEX 2010 will showcase the latest in maritime and naval technology from throughout the world, bringing together key industry, defense and government personnel from Libya and overseas, as the rapid expansion of international trade has accelerated the growth of sea freight in the Mediterranean region, Middle East and North Africa. Moreover, the significant growth of the Libyan foreign trade has become the main engine driving the growth of the national maritime industry.

Libya is a leading African country acting for peace keeping and fighting against sea pirates. Also, with 1770 km coastline, Libya is facing new challenges for the national security which consist in controlling maritime boundaries, eradicate illegal immigration, secure off-shore oil installations, fight against illegal fishing and protect the sea against pollution.

Accordingly LIMEX 2010, which is one of the biggest and fastest growing business to business events for the maritime and naval sectors, in the Mediterranean region and Africa, is conceived to afford a unique platform for decision-makers to discuss and interact with the world’s leading maritime and defense companies, over the 4-days show.
